Objectif(s): To conduct a test commercial Arctic char fishery.
Description du projet: A commercial weir will be installed and operated at Gore Bay for the purpose of conducting a test commercial Arctic char fishery. All fish will be held in an holding pen until the quota (8000 lb.) is estimated to have been captured. The daily upstream migration of Arctic char will be recorded until the quota is reached. Fish will then be gutted, packed and transported to the fish processing plant in Rankin Inlet, NT.
