Objectif(s): To identify similarities between economic development activities that occur in the Baffin region to those of other Third World countries and regions.
Description du projet: The researcher will visit Iqaluit and Lake Harbour to conduct personal interviews and discussions with economic development professionals, participate in `think tank' sessions, and observe systems and procedures in the Department of Economic Development and Tourism's office and staff meetings. This data, along with a review of existing literature, will be used to examine similarities between development in the Baffin region and Third World regions.
