Objectif(s): To study the polar cap ionosphere and upper atmosphere at a new facility in Resolute Bay in order to understand the effect of the sun on the structure and dynamics of the planet's atmosphere.

Description du projet: The researchers are interested in conducting a long term study of the earth's atmosphere from Resolute Bay. Data will be collected in order to understand the influence of the sun on the earth's atmosphere. Plans to build a permanent observatory that will house specialized scientific instruments are being considered by the researchers in consultation with the community of Resolute Bay. The observatory will play an important role in this long term study.
