Objectif(s): To examine the relationship between political development at the Territorial Government level and community-based approaches and aspirations for self-government.
Description du projet: As part of a three-year project, the researcher will conduct interviews with residents of the communities in order to collect information about community values and perspectives on self-government. In addition, information will be collected on the structure, nature and historical development of meetings and territorial assemblies in order to evaluate their role in the current and future governments of the NWT.
