Objectif(s): To determine the processes involved in changing Inuit land use patterns in the Cumberland Sound region from the 1880's to the present; to investigate the way Inuit see their history during these years of intense contact between different cultures; to discuss opinions concerning the past and present use of various settlements.
Description du projet: In this second year of the project, the researcher will continue to examine the changes that have occurred in land use patterns by Inuit of the Cumberland Sound area from the 1880's to the present. The researcher will document the history of land use as noted by the Inuit of Pangnirtung.
