Objectif(s): to collect broad whitefish from a number of lakes and tributaries in the outer Mackenzie River Delta and base of the Tuktoyaktuk Peninsula for the purpose of determining the genetic structure of the population; to opportunistically collect samples of other species of arctic fish (least cisco, northern pike) for similar genetic analyses.

Description du projet: Mackenzie River basin broad whitefish represent a mixed-stock population which utilizes different geographical areas for different stages of its life history. The study will examine the role of outer delta lakes and lakes/rivers of the Tuktoyaktuk Peninsula in the life history of the Mackenzie River population.
