Objectif(s): To understand the origin and early evolution of animal life and the factors that controlled the first appearance of reefs.
Description du projet: The Mackenzie Mountains exhibit one of the best sections through the Late Precambrian and Early Cambrian (1,000-530 million years ago) anywhere in the world. This team will further studies near Sekwi Mountain, on the Stone Knife River north of Shale Lake and northwest of Dal Lake in the central Mackenzie Mountains. The project attempts to understand the origin and early evolution of animal life and the factors that controlled the first appearance of reefs.
