Objectif(s): To trace the Snowbird Tectonic Zone, in N. Saskatchewan into the southern Keewatin District with a view to testing the hypothesis that the paleohorizontal in the ca.2.6 Ga continental crust plunges to the NE in the area between Lake Athabasca and Snowbird Lake; Snowbird Lake.

Description du projet: The Snowbird tectonic zone is a 3000 km long linear feature fisible in the gravity map of the Canadian Shield. Based on past research the hypothesis that high temperature rocks must plunge to great depths somewhere between Lakes Athabasca and Baker will be tested. tested.
