Objectif(s): To collect fossil clams and snails (430 million years old); to search for fossils of some of the earliest land vertebrate animals; to collect Museum quality fossil specimens for a new exhibit and to improve the collection of the Royal Tyrrell Museum;

Description du projet: Using maps and air photographs, the researchers will discover where to find specific layers of rock that may contain fossil remains of ancient sea life. Their search will focus on fossil clams, snails and also some of the earliest back-boned animals to appear on land.
