Objectif(s): To collect land pland macrofossils from a section discovered last summer while collecting graptolites on northeastern Cornwallis Island;
Description du projet: The work will involve the collection of plant fossils as well as samples of other macroscopic and microscopic fossils to verify the age and depositional environment. Notes and photographs will be taken describing the samples and the section. Less than 10 other localities around the world have been found to yield plant fossils of Late Silurian Age or older.
