Objectif(s): To study the behavior of pollinating insects (bees) in ecosystems dominated by the ERICACEES (blueberry family); to investigate competition between flowering plants syncronized for the same insect pollinators;
Description du projet: The Researcher will study the behavior of pollinating insects (bees) in ecosystems dominated by plants of the blueberry family (Ericacees). They will investigate competition between flowering plants syncronized for the same insect pollinators. Most of their work will be conducted on Herschel Island. Minimal study will be conducted near Tuktoyaktuk near their base camp at Polar Continental Shelf Project.
