Objectif(s): To gain quantitative knowledge about the existence of the Rabbitkettle hotsprings and their tufa mounds through a hydrogeological study; to develop a monitoring program for Nahanni National Park to promote the detection of adverse impacts on this tourist site.
Description du projet: The Researcher will: map the local geology adjacent the hotsprings; conduct a geochemical analysis of the springwaters; monitor the physical properties (pH, temp.); calculate natural discharge rates, conduct a pumping test and monitor depositional rates of tufa accumulations.
