Objectif(s): To describe and explain the stratigraphy, geomorphology, tectonic setting and geological history of the Beaufort Formation and of stratigraphically equivalent or younger late Tertiary deposits; to determine the paleo-environment and paleo-climate represented by these deposits and their age;

Description du projet: The Researcher and his team will investigate the Beaufort Formation. They will measure the sequence of layers of sand and clay visible on hillsides and cut-banks, and collect samples from selected layers for laboratory study of (1) the paleomagnetic character of the formation, (2) plants and insects in the sand, and (3) marine organisms in the clays.
