Objectif(s): To determine the perspectives and attitudes of residents of northern communities towards tourism; to determine the perspectives and desires of visitors for tourism infrastructure development in the communities; to determine the degree of awareness of the implications of tourism development in northern communities; to determine whether the Inuit residents of these communities would like to portray their culture to visitors as part of the tourism product being developed; to determine the issues involved in tourism development from the perspecitive of local residents;

Description du projet: Identified key informants in the community will be interviewed to determine what issued should be explored. Visitors will be interviewed to determine their views on the direction tourism should take. These issues will then be used to develop questions what will be asked of a random sample of housholders in the community.
