Objectif(s): To conduct a detailed, integrated paleontological, sedimentological and geochemical study of the sections to understant the nature of the late Ordovician extinction event; to study the sedimentological and paleo-oceanographic effects that resulted from the Late Ordovician glaciation;

Description du projet: The Researcher and his assistants will carry out fieldwork which involves the collection of fossils (most of which are microscopic), rock samples, photographs and notes on the outcrops on northeastern Cornwallis Island. The work is to lead to a better understanding of the environmental changes brought about by changing climate.
