Objective(s): To map the quaternary sediment cover of Akpatok Island using Landsat imagery in combination with ground surveying; to determine the glacial history of the island.

Project Description: The researchers will map the types of rock and landforms of Akpatok Island using information collected from air photographs as well as data collected during the site visit. Samples of rock will be collected for further analysis. Interpretation of this information may provide clues as to the island's long-term history.
